What does the process entail?

At Delta Fly Adventures we offer a 2-year training course in which you develop yourself step by step into a certified aid instructor.

Collaboration Drenthe College

We offer an adapted internship process for students of the Drenthe College. With assistant instructor Hang Gliding as an optional part you follow phase 1 of the training, without the practice slope part. The practice slope falls under the study trip or can be done as an extra.

DFA 1

Phase 1: Basic training Hang Gliding + practice slope

You start by obtaining your DFA 1 certificate

  • You only pay the towing and field costs: € 882 (instead of training costs € 2,895).
  • And your accommodation costs for the practice slope: € 80 (not applicable to the ROC choice part)
  • We take care of the other training costs.
  • You participate in daily practice and learn the basic skills of Hang Gliding and instructorship.
DFA 2

Phase 2: Advanced Education & Instruction Assistance

You continue your education with DFA 3 dragging

  • You only pay the towing and field costs: € 690 (instead of training costs € 2,050).
  • You take on more and more instruction tasks and you guide starting pilots.
DFA 3

Phase 3: Specialization & Teaching independently

You continue your training to a full certified auxiliary instructor / Delta fluor

  • You only pay the towing and field costs: € 350 (instead of training costs € 750).
  • After this phase you are fully certified as a Delta pilot and drag auxiliary instructor.
  • You are going to teach independently and coach participants.
Reimbursements

Paid position as a auxiliary instructor

During the training course you actively participate in our instructor team and you learn everything about Hang Gliding and Outdoor Sports guidance.

  • After completing DFA 3 you work for at least 2 years exclusively for Delta Fly Adventures.
  • You work as an independent aid instructor and receive a competitive reimbursement.
Development and safety students

What are you going to do as an aspiring auxiliary instructor?

During the training course you actively participate in our instructor team and you learn everything about Hang Gliding and Outdoor Sports guidance.

Instruction and guidance

  • Assisting with DeltaLlieglessles and outdoor activities
  • Explanation about safety, technology and materials
  • Supervising athletes in preparation, flight and completion

Sports and event organization

  • Contribute to the planning of flights and events
  • Helping with the organization of sports days and workshops

Safety and First Aid

  • Support with safety training
  • Apply first aid to small injuries

Marketing and Social Media (Optional)

  • You take photos and videos of flying experiences and create content for social media.

Training and support

At DeltaFliegschool DeltaFlyDventures we ensure that all our aid instructors are well trained and supported. You get extensive training and guidance when performing your tasks, so that you can do your work with confidence and pleasure.

Growth opportunities

Do you want to continue as a pilot and auxiliary instructor with mountain flies or winches after this course, do you want to become a full -fledged instructor or get started as a tandem pilot? Then we offer you a tailor -made process to also master these skills, with internships and training in the Netherlands, Germany and France.

Registration process

Does this challenge suit you?

We are looking for a sporting and adventurous candidate with a passion for outdoor sports and instruction. Preferably you are between 16 and 30 years old. To follow the training you can weigh a maximum of 95 kilos (due to the pulling power of the towing plane). You have a natural curiosity about DeltaVliegen and you are eager to learn and you like to gain new skills. You like to work in a dynamic environment and you are someone who takes responsibility. You feel at ease in situations where height plays a role and you see this as an opportunity to develop yourself further. In addition, you are strong, social and communicative. You are able to give instructions and to guide participants in a clear and enthusiastic way.

You are flexibly deployable, especially in the weekends and holidays, you are willing to invest time in your education and you are open to connecting Delta Fly Adventures for a longer period of time.
