Season started with community weekend

This weekend the flying season started at Delta Fly Adventures, with the first teaching flights and an inspiring community-bbq. And if the weather says something about the rest of the season during the first weekend, then get your chest wet!

On Saturday we flew off the dust.

In the morning we quietly took the time to build the material and go through the theory. How did you build a kite again? Did the red sailing bats have to be left and the black right or was it the other way around? And what about the safety guidelines on the field?

We had a mix of beginners to experience pilots and for most it was 5 months ago that they had flown. Some had been busy with flies throughout the winter, for example with the winter training, and you noticed that: they quickly grabbed the routines and could help the other pilots on their way.

First flights and cozy community-bbq

In the evening it became quiet enough and we could still make a flight. A gift in a very turbulent weekend. Almost blew so hard that the BBQ was at stake, but Karel Goudriaan dared and fired his special BBQ well for a delicious and pleasant meal. to help.

Inspiring flight stories and plans for the new season

At the table we asked everyone about his or her most impressive flying experience. And then you know ... from first time to come loose to first height flight in the mountains; Find thermal from first time under a cloud to fly so high that the world became so small that it made you afraid of it.
Plans were forged and independent pilots were looking for flying sizes for beautiful flying holidays. Good intentions to fly more often were converted on the spot into concrete agreements and pilots shared tips and tricks about material.

Everyone went home with a large flight grin and looks forward to what the season is going to bring. And this was only the beginning!
