If you go Hang Gliding, it is mandatory to bring an emergency parachute. That is also very wise: it is your life insurance policy! If you suddenly no longer fly for whatever reason, your parachute will bring you back to the ground safely.
During our safety clinic emergency parachute you learn about the design and use of your emergency parachute, you practice throwing it and you become familiar with emergency scenarios so that you know how to act when it comes to it. With our help you can also redesign your emergency parachute. That way you know for sure that it's all right.
Program and daily schedule
After receiving we immediately go into the depth. What kind of emergency situations can you encounter in the air? How can you prepare for that? What kind of solutions are there? When would you throw your emergency parachute, and when it would not? And what then? And perhaps the most important thing: how do you prevent you from ever needing your parachute?
Many safety aspects are already discussed during the discussion. We complement that, with information about how parachutes work and what you can expect when you come down to the parachute. And how do you make the most safe landing possible?
Do you keep your head cool?
It will be exciting during the simulation! Blindfolded swinging in your harness on the rings you soon no longer know where is above, below, left or right. Will you be able to throw your parachute in the right direction on command as soon as possible?
Parachute (leather) folding
After throwing your chute it is time to inspect and pack it again. We do this three by three: everyone helps each other and so you practice three times. That's nice because suppose you have to fold your parachute again on your upcoming flying holiday ... at least you know how!

Prepare and take
It is an interactive day with a full program, and it will even be a bit exciting ... Prepare yourself well and think about the emergency scenarios. Also look for your material together, or book some of the school in time!
You need this:
- Your helmet
- Your armor
- Your parachute, just in armor
- A tea towel (yes really!)
- The logbook of your emergency parachute
- The manuals of your emergency parachute and of your armor.
Don't you have that? Look online at the manufacturer or ask us for help.
This time we fold on the floor. If necessary, bring a cushion or knee protectors. We try to organize a table for those who can't kneel.
If you do not have your own material, choose the 'school material' option and indicate when paying exactly what you need from the school.
Including and exclusive
The Safety Clinic emergency parachute includes program and (limited) school material, excluding refreshments. We start the day in the sports café where you can also buy drinks and something to eat during the day.
