Air towing site Stadskanaal (EHST) - Your adventure starts here!
Our base is the airport of Stadskanaal: Ehst. It is a small airport with a grass track for light motorized aircraft (ULVs) and hang gliders . There are all kinds of facilities on the field such as a campsite for all pilots and a cafeteria. And the most important facility is of course the great runway, where we can go up with the Dragonfly all day long!
A home with Vliegvereniging Westerwolde
The field is from Westerwolde flight association , an active association that has a warm heart for all forms of flying. It started as a pure a motorcycle flying association, and has grown into a club where motor flyers and hang gliders together enjoy the freedom that flies gives. There is a good cooperation between the DeltaFliegschool and the association and all new school students automatically also become a member of the club. This way you immediately get a group of flying sizes.
Accessibility and parking
The EHST airport is located on Aviaweg 2, 9585PJ Vledderveen , part of the "Geluidsportcentrum Stadskanaal" General parking space: Parking is possible outside the fence. There is a charging station for electric vehicles available.
Daily schedule tandem flights and lessons
Our daily schedule depends on the weather. We will keep you informed of the time we expect you to fly, but please take into account that you might have to wait a bit.
For students, the courses generally start on Friday at 1:00 PM or 5:00 PM, and continue until Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM. For the introduction course with two tandem flights, we try to plan them early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
The extra class days usually start on Thursday at 1:00 pm or 5:00 pm and continue until Friday morning!

Public transport and carpooling
Keep in mind that EHST is difficult to reach with public transport. Many of our pilots use carpooling, or are picked up by fellow flights at a nearby train station.
Meeting points
On foot to meeting point: From the parking lot you can continue on foot to meeting point 06 or 24.
The take off location depends on the wind direction. Two days before your flight you can see on our website where we expect you, on point 06 or point 24 .

Facilities at the Stadskanaal airport (EHST)
Ehst offers a range of facilities that make your visit pleasant, whether you are a pilot or visitor. The airport has a camping field that is accessible to members of the flying club and our students. Here you can enjoy the peace and meadow birds and easily spend the night next to the airport.
After your flight you can enjoy coffee or tea in our hangar. The hospitality industry on the field is unfortunately not open.
Experienced pilots can also come flying behind our Dragonfly. The tow pilot is also ready for you, you can register via his planning tool .
Camping options
For pilots and students, an overnight stay at the campsite is included in the day money. Tandem passengers and other visitors are also welcome to spend the night, but a surcharge applies to them. The maximum price is € 15 per camping equipment.
